Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist, Sony Pictures Advertorial

2 days ago, I was invited to the preview screening of

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

Thanks to Nuffnang and Sony Pictures!

We were supposedly one of the first few in SG to catch the show, how exciting.

I have never heard of this movie called Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist before, so when Ming told me about it, I wasn't very excited about it.. Still, I love movies so I thought it couldn't be that bad.

Turned out that it wasn't bad at all.. It was in fact..

Pretty damn AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like it so much, I want to re-tell the whole story here! But of course I don't want to spoil it for you.

Afterall, you can't see the world through a mirror.

What I really like about Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist:

It is so easy to relate to.. You know how most love stories have incredible but unrealistic storylines?

Classic romantic but unrealistic storyline: Tom and Jane, deeply in love, breaks up one day unfortunately.

Both of them try to move on.. things happen in their life, and Jane finds a new guy and agrees to marry him hastily. On their wedding day, Tom crashes their wedding and confesses that his love for her has never faded, all along.

Tom picks Jane up and leaves/lives with her... happily ever after!

The end. Romantic indeed, but how many of us would actually experience such a thing?!?

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist shows about two young teenagers breaking away from their awful ex-girlfriend/boyfriend.. and finding someone better, finding love again, in the most unexpected circumstances.

It is my kind of movie - laid-back, quirky and unique humour, great soundtrack, slightly slow-paced and ultimately, a feel-good movie. No tragic dramatic cliche plot, just situationns most of us can relate to.

I was sad when the movie ended.. I wish it could have gone on longer!

I laughed and smiled a lot during the show... there were certain tear-jerker moments as well.

This movie leaves a deep impression on me, because I'm kinda going through the same situation as Norah's character.

You don't know whether this guy is the right one for you, your relationship is on & off that sometimes you're just "friends with benefits"... Until one day you ask yourself...

"What are the benefits?"

The guy is kinda a jerk, yet sometimes he's kinda sweet (or seems to be)

But the only reason you've been stuck in that sticky situation is because the right person hasn't come along to pull you out of it yet.. For Norah, Nick came along and swept her off her feet.

So where's MY NICK?! Hmmm..

But it is a kind of wake up call for me, that I deserve better. I'm sure that many teenagers will enjoy this show very much, because it is so easy to relate to.. you might even find yourself in the same situation, just like how I did.

Another plus point about this show is the MUSIC! The title of this show kinda says it all, doesn't it?

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist? Music lovers would be in for a treat!

Oh and if you found the main actors for the show kinda familiar, that's because they've acted other popular teenage movies!

Michael Cera, who plays Nick, also acted in Juno and Superbad!

And of course...

Looooved that show too.

The first one on the left!!

I really liked her character in The House Bunny because she was uber funny. You can expect the same humour and no-nonsense attitude from her in Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist..

Except this time, you get to see a more mellow side of her.

I don't know how to tell you how much I enjoyed the show without including spoilers here and there...

But I really urge you guys to go catch the show. Not just because I'm paid to do an advertorial for them, but because this movie really touched my heart and even if I didn't have to do this advertorial, I'd still be going on and on about how much I love this movie!

You can visit their website and listen to their cool soundtrack and find out more about the show at

Please be reminded that the rating for this show is NC16, guys!

And let me know once you've watched it, tell me what you think of it okie!
